The Worst SEO Mistakes You Can Make
by SEO Sapien

Everyone wants their websites to be search engine optimized, or SEO-friendly. However, there are some common errors that people make when they’re doing SEO work on their site, and these errors can actually cost them that highly coveted top ten ranking that everyone wants. Here are some things to avoid when doing SEO work on your website.
Remember the ALT tags! Almost every image on your website (not including the background and any images that serve as buttons and the like) needs to have ALT text. This is the text that shows up if the image doesn’t load. More importantly, however, it’s the text that tells search engines what the image is since the programs can’t actually see the picture. A good ALT tag will include two or three of your keywords, and it’s a great place to stick in extra keywords that the viewer will (hopefully, unless your image is missing) never see.
Don’t use the same title tag on every page of your site. While it may be easy to simply write one title for your homepage and then leave it on every page, this is another place where you’re losing out on a place to stick keywords. Vary the title for each page so that search engines will notice the difference, and try to include different keywords for different pages.
Avoid scripts! While Flash and the like are becoming more compatible with search engines, it’s still difficult for more search engines to see inside Flash objects. This means you’re losing places to put meta tags, ALT tags, and more.
Don’t just write for robots. While writing articles with a high keyword density might get your page ranked higher by the search engine, it’s going to send actual human readers away. They don’t want to read anything redundant or clumsy. “Our furniture store in London provides great furniture for London residents looking for furniture designed specifically for London” is going to either annoy readers or make them laugh at the horrible writing. Be sure your SEO phrases and such can be integrated into the text seamlessly so they don’t stand out and don’t over-use them.
Also, actually write your website text yourself (or hire someone to write it). Don’t plagiarize - don’t copy and paste text off of one website and put it on yours without making it clear where the text came from. Too much duplicate text on your page will be flagged by search engines.
Likewise, avoid any bad SEO practices like hidden text or keyword stuffing. Hidden text refers to adding a ton of keywords at the bottom of a website and then making them the same color as the background, effectively hiding them from viewers. Search engines still see them, however. In the past, this was a technique that did actually make search engines rank sites higher, but today’s robots are smart enough to recognize this technique and ignore it. Likewise, keyword stuffing, or making a webpage that’s almost nothing but keywords, raises a number of flags in search engine robots and may actually get your pages ranked lower.
Finally, make certain all of your links describe where they’re going. No one likes to click links that aren’t clearly described by the surrounding text or give a good idea of their target. Plus, links are another factor a search engine uses to determine site relevancy, so not clearly marking them is detrimental in several ways.

What Are The Advantages Of Marketing On The Internet Versus Traditional MLM?
What Are The Advantages Of Marketing On The Internet Versus Traditional MLM?
by Khali Bashir

Internet Marketing to me is much more efficient than doing offline traditional multi-level marketing. In this article I want to show the reader exactly what are the advantages of marketing on the internet versus the traditional offline mult-level marketing business.
Internet marketing is much more suited to people with busy lives and work schedules and can give you the same kind of income as someone who is building a downline in a traditional mlm company. What I love about internet marketing is that there are no meetings, you don\'t have to go around hounding people down about your business, you don\'t have to bug family members and friends, you can easily automate most of your advertising processes, you have a much wider arena of people to promote your business to, and it can be very cheap! Also if you have a success system in place for bringing in and following up with your leads you really don\'t have to spend very much time each week building your business.
I have organized a series of automated advertising methods I use each week that work for me all of the time and I don\'t have to spend really anymore than 2-5 hours a week marketing my business. All I do is pay for my ad and copy and paste, I write 30 fresh articles a month and submit them to a company called Isnare which they in turn submit my article to thousands of publishers and article directories who get me exposure all over the internet and listings in the search engines. I upload videos on YouTube, I use SiteSubmit Plus to get my leadpage even more exposure all through the search engines and 500,000 directories. To take it even further I use ezine ads and creditbased safelists which allow me to get my ad infront of thousands of network marketers at the click of a button, I use DoctorTraffic as an automated way to pull in leads from traffic exchanges.
All these are part of my success system! It\'s hard to do these type of things in the offline world. I\'m not saying it\'s impossible but I bet your costs would be a heck of a lot higher. Just think of what it cost to do a couple thousand piece mailing to peoples homes to inform them about a business in order to generate leads for whatever you\'re doing. I\'m investigating a Reverse Mortgage business right now that cost about $900 to send to I believe about 5 to 10,000 peoples homes. Do you know how much internet advertising I could buy with $900 dollars? And I could hit way more than 10,000 people. These are the reasons why I love to do internet marketing versus offline marketing and traditional mlm. And this is also why I would advise new marketers to keep most of there network marketing business on the internet as opposed to doing it offline.
When you buy into a traditional multi-level marketing franchise it becomes somewhat of a shock for someone who has been used to being an employee of a company for so many years to find out that they are going to basically have to become a totally different person in order to achieve any great level of success with the opportunity. You\'re probably trying to figure out what I mean by this statement! MLM traditionaly speaking is almost heavily grounded in sales.
You have to be able to physically go up and talk to people about becoming a distributor on your team. You have to commit yourself to making appointments with interested parties either in their home or bringing them to weekly company meetings where your guests are able to see a presentation of the plan presented to them usually by one of your upline sponsors who are successful at what they do. You have to constantly keep talking to people about becoming a distributor or buying xyz product.
For someone who is just used to working, going home everyday and staying in the same cycle, this is a very antagonizing adjustment! Most people traditionaly need to have a very big reason why they need to change who they are internaly and many individuals would rather stay the same even if presented with the opportunity to make some decent money if it involves a major change in who they are.
This is a big reason why alot of people will turn you down when you present an MLM franchise to them. Deep inside they know that there really is some money in the opportunity you are speaking of, but the change of self is just too much of an adjustment for them. Online network marketing on the other hand offers you the same amount of pay, but at the same time allows you to stay somewhat within your comfort zone while you are trying to learn.
This allows you to slowly change who you are instead of having to start immediately changing over night. From the things that I have pointed out in this article you should now have a good idea what are the advantages of marketing on the internet when compared to the traditional mlm model.

Pay Per Click Marketing Strategies
Pay Per Click Marketing Strategies
by Guido Nussbaum

Without the proper method of using Pay Per Click Advertising, you can spend a fortune and have nothing to show for it. Clickthroughs cost you, but you get nothing in return if your website visitors only click through and don\'t buy anything.
How does it work? The major search engines offer bidding for the placement of your ad based on keywords. You bid on keywords that you want to place your ads on, related to your product. If you bid the highest, your ad goes first. When someone does a search for that keyword, your ad is available to them to click on. If they do, you are charged whatever you bid. For example, if you bid $.30 for a keyword to get top spot, and 100 people click on your ad in a day, you pay $30.00. Multiply that times 30 days and you can see how quickly your advertising budget gets expended. If it is a keyword that is very popular, and thousands of people click on your ad, it really costs you big.
But, you might ask, isn\'t a lot of click throughs what you are looking for? Isn\'t that a good thing? It depends. If those clickthroughs result in sales, yes, it is great. But, if sales don\'t result for a good percentage of those clickthroughs, then it is not a good thing at all.
One of the disadvantages to pay per click marketing is that your cost per click remains the same, regardless of traffic. Your overall costs go up in proportion to your clicks. But, in the normal search engine optimization, as your traffic increases, your costs go down. You spend a particular amount of time and money to optimize your site, and increased traffic doesn\'t raise your overall expenditure.
Is pay per click all bad? Not at all. It can profitably increase your search engine traffic, which increases your website traffic, if it is managed well. With some programs, such as Google Adwords, it can immediately increase your website traffic. If you are at the top of a popular keyword, you will get instant clickthroughs, and potentially, customers. Also, you can adjust your ad campaigns to match marketing trends a lot easier than you can rework your web content to draw search engine traffic.
What are some management tips? The most basic is to focus your efforts and to be well aware of what you are spending, your conversion rate, and your number of clickthroughs. Like any advertising method, you have to stay on top of what is going on or you can spend many wasted dollars in ineffective advertising.
When is pay per click a good idea? There are three major areas where pay per click advertising is beneficial.
Campaign and advertising testing issues. If you are introducing a new product, or if you want to test drive an advertising campaign, you can expect immediate traffic and can test ads by changing in mid-campaign and watching results.
Direct response sales – if you sell something that the customer can buy immediately, pay per click advertising may be beneficial. You know that each click through may be a sale. When using a niche phrase – when a certain keyword might be expensive, a keyword phrase with that word combined with another one might be a real bargain and generate a lot of traffic.
Pay per click advertising is not the solution for everyone or every situation. But, managed well and used effectively, it can very efficiently drive website traffic and resulting sales.
